SAFE SPACE AND ANTI-DISCRIMINATION

Queer Spectra Arts Festival is a safe space in which difficult conversations can take place. We welcome thoughtful, considerate discussions and feedback about art that explores a full range of identities and experiences. This being said, we will not tolerate queerphobia, transphobia, racism, sexism, ableism, fatphobia/sizeism, classism, threats of violence, or other hate speech.

BLACK LIVES MATTER

Queer Spectra Arts Festival wishes to acknowledge and honor the movement for Black Liberation. We recognize the many ways the LGBTQ+ community, and in particular the LGBTQ+ arts community, has been given a voice thanks to the work, sacrifices, and action of queer and trans Black leaders.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Queer Spectra Arts Festival takes place in Salt Lake City, which exists on Ute and Shoshone territories in Utah, in which Goshute, Paiute, and Diné peoples also have territories. We honor the land and those who have stewarded the land, even in the face of systemic adversity.
